Anastasius of Córdoba

Anastasius, deacon and martyr of Córdoba, Spain, beheaded in 853. A deacon of the church of Saint Acisclus in Córdoba, Anastasius became a Benedictine monk at the double monastery of Tábanos nearby. He was beheaded by order of the caliph with the monk Felix and the nun Digna, at Córdoba in 853.
